Flying 15 International News

The last 2 days have been busy measuring and weighing boats in preparation for the 21st Flying Fifteen World Championship at Napier Sailing Club in New Zealand.

Last week was heavy rain, but this week the sun has been shining and every one was in the mood to get measured and then go practice sailing in a light easterly breeze.

Tomorrow is the start of the NZ Nationals which is a Pre Worlds series. 54 boats plan to sail the scheduled 8 races over 3 days, followed by a lay day on Saturday. Sunday is day one of the serious stuff with an additional 3 boats anticipated to join the fleet.
