Eligible helms are those who normally crew in Flying Fifteens and who would not otherwise helm. Participants who may be in doubt as to their eligibility should check with the Fleet Captain before entering the race. In any dispute the President’s decision will be final.

Eligible helms are those ladies who do not regularly sail in other classes.

The race is a single-handed race limited to Flying Fifteen boats. There is no restriction on helms. Participants will be penalised if they do not wear a black tie, drink a whisky before the race and hoist their spinnaker at least once during the race.

Limited to Flying Fifteen boats. Helm and crew must be parent/sibling or sibling/parent.

Awarded to the boat which during the first three series in the season is not placed within the first three boats in any race. The first three series of races excludes the Summer Series, Regatta and Class Championship. The series runs concurrently with the fourth series, ie the Ffionnaula Series.

The cumulative scoring is based on the placing of the helms not the boats. For all other race series the overall positions are based on the boat positions.
